Nintendo might indeed be charity a long-forgotten Metroid and Mother (better famous in a West as Earthbound) fans some information on new games.
While Nintendo of America’s boss Reggie Fils-Aimé couldn’t offer fans any clear news, he did leave some flattering clever hints in a new speak with GameSpot.
“Oh, so progressing currently we got asked about Mother 3; maybe we can ask me about Metroid,” Fils-Aimé said. “Look, again, we am unapproachable as an executive with Nintendo to contend that we demeanour during all of a play and all of a comments and we unequivocally have a good bargain of what a consumers want. And trust me, we take that to heart as we work to emanate content.
“So we have zero to announce—here. But we are wakeful that there are some pivotal IP that consumers only can’t wait for a subsequent loyal installment in that franchise’s legacy. Suffice it to say, we’re wakeful of it, and speak to me in a year and let’s demeanour behind and see what’s happened.”
Within that year, obviously, we’ll see a launch of a Nintendo Switch. It’s probable that these Mother and Metroid games could seem on a console as partial of a practical console system, or maybe as some of a monthly games that Nintendo skeleton to offer with a paid online subscription service. Or, maybe, there could be wholly new games in a series’ for a console going forward.
The Nintendo Switch releases on Mar 3rd.
