Keyboard and rodent support will be combined to Halo Wars 2 and, by extension, a Xbox One.
“It won’t be there during launch,” Xbox conduct Phil Spencer wrote in answer to a fan’s exploration on twitter. ‘But this is support we’d like to supplement as it comes to a Xbox platform.”

This is large news for RTS fans, given keyboard and rodent controls are generally seen as higher to a controller. The disproportion is even larger in games that need accurate aim.
Support for keyboard and rodent controls is one of a subsequent stairs in bringing console and PC play closer together, something that’s been a long-standing idea of Spencer’s. Earlier today, Spencer wrote that Microsoft envisions a destiny of games with cross-play support, and Microsoft as a whole has been creation stairs to move a dual systems closer together with a Play Anywhere program.
Halo Wars 2 launches on Feb 21st for a Xbox One and PC. As Spencer said, don’t design to see full keyboard and rodent support during launch, though demeanour for it in a months following.
